The Rhetrix Voice Scholarship

Some kids have something to say.
The seat shouldn’t be the obstacle.

One fully funded seat in every cohort window — fall, spring, and summer — for a grade 6–12 student whose family can’t make tuition work right now. The application takes 60 seconds. That’s not a figure of speech; it’s the length of the video.

Current window: Fall 2026 cohort seat · apply by July 31, 2026 · every family hears by August 7, 2026

What it covers

One full seat — $650 for a fall or spring cohort, $750 for summer camp — tuition fully waived. Not a partial discount. The whole seat.

Who it’s for

Grades 6–12 in the North Fulton / Cherokee County area, for families where tuition is the blocker. Need-aware, not need-proof: no tax returns, no hardship essays. We take your word.

The application

One 60-second video (or about 200 written words) from the student: “Tell us about a moment you wished you’d spoken up.” A parent submits it. That’s the whole thing.

If you’re not selected

Most scholarship pages go quiet here. We’d rather you know exactly what happens before you apply, so there’s never a moment where this feels like a sales funnel wearing a scholarship costume.

One honest email, fast.
Every family hears either way within 7 days of the deadline. No silence, no "finalists" theater.
Your application rolls forward automatically.
Not selected this window? You’re in the pool for every remaining window this school year — no re-applying. Opt out any time with one reply.
Every applicant gets a free AI Practice Coach session.
Win or not. Your student made a video about speaking up — that deserves a tool to keep going, not a consolation coupon.
No pitch unless you ask for one.
There’s an unchecked box on the application: “it’s OK to email us once about open seats and payment options.” Leave it unchecked and the decision email is the only email you’ll ever get from this.
Paying while you wait never costs you the award.
If your family enrolls as a paying family and your student is selected in a later window this year, the award covers a future cohort seat in full. Applying never penalizes you for not waiting.

And the standard paths stay open to everyone, applicant or not: the $200 deposit plan splits tuition, sibling and returning-student discounts apply automatically, and sponsored seats open up as local businesses fund them.

For counselors & educators

You know which student this is for — the one with plenty to say and no room to practice saying it. Nominate them with the form below (select “Counselor or educator”), and feel free to list the scholarship on your school’s scholarship page. Here’s a listing blurb you can paste as-is:

The application

One prompt: “Tell us about a moment you wished you’d spoken up.” Record 60 seconds on a phone (unlisted YouTube or a shared Drive/iCloud link works), or write roughly 200 words. No production value expected — a hallway and a phone camera is exactly right.

— OR —

The award is a tuition waiver with no cash value, non-transferable, and can’t be combined with other discounts. Winners are named publicly only with written family consent.
