Public Speaking for 11th & 12th Graders

Leading Edge Track · Theme: Mastery & Transition

Leading Edge is built for the transition into adulthood — college applications, scholarship interviews, early leadership roles, and the first conversations that actually determine your trajectory. Students in 11th and 12th grade have already built something: a reputation, a voice, an identity. This track teaches them to lead with it.

Fall/spring school sessions

Session two of Leading Edge is entirely dedicated to college interview prep — both in-person and virtual. Students get full mock interviews with real-time coaching on their answers, their presence, and the gap between what they mean and what admissions officers actually hear.

The session-five keynote is 6 minutes, recorded, and structured after TED-style format adapted for college and professional-grade depth. Students can use the recording as a supplemental application asset — which is increasingly unusual and therefore noticed.

FAQ

Common questions about Leading Edge

What will my 11th or 12th grader learn?
Five sessions: operating at full height (not working up to confidence — being it), full mock college interviews in both in-person and virtual formats, leading a meeting or a team without theater, TED-style keynote structure at college and professional-grade depth, and a 6-minute recorded keynote that students can use for college applications.
How does this help with college admissions?
Directly. Session two is a full college interview prep session — students do live mock interviews with real-time coaching on their answers, presence, and the gap between what they mean and what admissions officers hear. The session-five keynote is recorded and can go directly into a supplemental application portfolio.
My student is applying early action or early decision. When should they enroll?
Ideally the summer before senior year (summer camp, June–August 2026) or early fall of senior year (Fall Block 1, August–September 2026). That gives them the skills and the recorded keynote before EA/ED deadlines hit in October and November.
Where does Leading Edge meet?
Summer camp: Woodstock Community Church, 4411 Towne Lake Pkwy, Woodstock GA. Fall/spring: at partner school campuses, Thursdays either before school (7:15–8:15 AM) or after school (3:45–4:45 PM).
How much does it cost?
Summer day camp: $750/week (5 days, 90 min/day, 14 seats max). Fall or spring cohort: $650 (5 weeks, 60 min/week, 18 seats max). $100 of every fall/spring seat goes back to the partner school or PTA.
